Join us for an exciting evening of fun and digital art with an interactive giant video installation projected on the French Embassy’s building in Merrion Square!
“Imaginary Encounters/Rencontres imaginaires” by French artists Scenocosme: Grégory Lasserre & Anaïs met den Ancxt, is an interactive video artwork projected on an outdoor building.
When a visitor approaches the installation he finds himself immersed in a giant interactive mirror screen reflecting his body and face. Virtual hands and faces are attracted by this reflection and try to touch him, catch him, surprise him.
This engaging digital installation prompts the public to react to virtual contacts triggering unusual and unexpected real feelings. As a black & white screening this artwork gives the illusion of a ghostly troubling reality recalling the first tricks of early cinema by filmmaker Georges Méliès.
Combining digital technologies and illusion techniques this artwork encourages play in the public space.
Fun for all!
